Download a PDF copy of the Spring & Summer 2013 Program Guide
Spring Summer program guides will be delivered to area homes the week of March 18, 2013.

All of your favourite programs are returning along with a few new additions. For the teens please see page 12 for “Teen Discussion Group”. This program is led by a counsellor from Serenity for Families and provides a forum for teens to discuss issues important to them. On the fitness side, see page 13 for “Barre Fitness” - a new class designed to tone and sculpt your muscles and for those of you who love Kundalini Yoga, a second class is being offered for beginners (page 17).

Program Cancellations

A decision to cancel a program is often made right after general registration in order to allow for program preparation. Please register at the above times to avoid the late fee and cancellation of your favourite program.

Special Events
On March 2, 2013, the tables for our Gigantic Indoor Garage Sale go on sale. These tables always sell out early. Tables are $25 each and are sold on a first come, first served basis at the Canterbury Community Centre. Tables will be on sale from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m on March 2nd. Please, no phone reservations! No tables will be sold prior to March 2, 2013.

Watch our website for information regarding a “Community Appreciation Event” for Mr. Sam Karkache, past owner of Lorenzo’s Pizzeria on Arch Street (see page 5 of our program guide). The event is still in the planning phase, so keep an eye on our website for further notices.

The centre itself is a city-owned facility and is part of the Canterbury Recreational Complex which also includes the Canterbury Pool and the Brian Kilrea Arena.

The Canterbury Community Association (CCA) is responsible for developing and delivering the programming at the centre from September to June in three separate program sessions - Fall, Winter and Spring.

During the months of July and August, the City of Ottawa operates its summer camp program.

The CCA is proud to be able to work in partnership with the City of Ottawa in order to bring city residents a comprehensive programming schedule which involves all age groups and which is delivered by knowledgeable and experienced instructors in a caring and safe environment.

The CCA believes in working with its community partners in order to give local residents of all ages the programming and services they deserve!
